ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Audley Geo Smith, born 1949 in Manchester, is an intuitive artist with formal training in graphic designing at The Edna Manley School of Visual Art. He believes his talents are “Gifts from God”.
Mr. Smith love for nature is reflected in most of his works. The beauty of his native country depicted in the rich foliage, in the rain forest of Fern Gully; the natural water falls of Dunn’s River and lifestyle of the people continue to be a source of inspiration to him as he express himself on canvas. Also inspired by the Georgian style architecture in and around Spanish Town, the artist captures numerous scenes in his special technique of oil and acrylic.
In Audley’s paintings, depth perspective and color come together and harmonize to create the three-dimensional illusion of space on a two-dimension surface, inviting the viewer into the picture.
Artist Geo now resides in New York where his work is being exhibited in many galleries. He is a member of the Alliance of Queens Artists. This has helped him developed into a creatively matured professional with a myriad of avenues of artistic expressions. He has perfected fresh techniques that add increase movement and innovation to his works. His paintings illustrate the diversity and maturity of his artistic vision.
